THE WEATHER
A light easterly wind and fine sunny weather were experienced yesterday, following a cold night and several degrees of frost. The maximum temperature was 44 degrees. The barometer was fairly steady all day, and registered 30.25 last' evening. , '

AUCKLAND, June 20. Fine weather, but changeable conditions, prevailed to-day, a light hre"'-c varying from the south to the east. Ihe morning was sunny and mild, but after midday the sky became overcast and the conditions raw. WELLINGTON, June 20. The weather to-day was overcast and cold in the morning, but improved later when the wind changed from southerly to northerly. CHRIgTCHURCH j une 2 p. To-day was dull and cold with a light south-west breeze and a temperature of 42 degrees. The barometer had little movement and recorded 30,24 this evening.
