SCOTTISH SOCIETY
MONTHLY SOCIAL. The monthly social of the Scottish Society of Dunedin, which was well patronised, was held on Saturday last in the Victoria Hall, when the president (Mr G. Munro) was piped to the stage in company with the new chairman (Mr W. P. Smith) by the official piper (Mr Angus MacMillan). In welcoming the guests of the evening, special reference was made to the visit of members of the Northern Football Club, accompanied by the president (Mr Rigby). During the evening occasion was taken to present to the secretary a Fraser tartan scarf, a gift from the MacMillan family in appreciation of his kindness to the children of the society.
