DOUBLE VOTING
FOOLISH ACT WHILE INTOXICATED (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 19. Charles Henry Thomas, aged 26, who, while drunk, voted twice during the recent Hospital Board poll at Waihi, appeared for sentence to-day. It was stated that he had borne a good character. He took little interest-in politids, and, though he admitted having voted twice, he did not remember the second time, which was about 6 o’clock at night. Mr Justice Reed admitted the accused to probation for two years, and ordered him to pay the costs of the prosecution and to take out a prohibition order.
