4YA PROGRAMMES
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—There recently appeared in your correspondence column a letter complaining that the opening of the Winter Show had not been broadcast. I think that 4YA broadcasts more different happenings than any of its sister stations in the Dominion, and. those in control of it are always most anxious to cater for everyone's tastes, whether they relate to sport or to business. But there are people in this part of the Dominion who will never be satisfied on this earth, and are always crying for the moon. I wonder whether it would please these people if 4YA were to put an apparatus at Karitane Babies' Hospital and let them hear how the babies cry when being bathed. I am quite sure that eome people who rush into print with the paltriest little complaint must stay awake half the night wondering what they can complain about on the morrow. I will say this, that the listenerg of 4YA are more than studied, and that is the whole trouble: They get too much variety, and, like the spoilt child, do not appreciate what is done for them—l am, etc.. Not Squealing. .
