FARM TRAINING
SONS OF EX-SOLDIERS VACANCIES AT FLOCK HOUSE. (Per United Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., June 17. The trustees of Flock House to-day notified all patriotic associations and returned soldiers' associations through the Central Flock House Committee in Wellington that as the result of negotiation with the Government and a reduction of costs they would be able to continue to take the sons of New Zealand returned soldiers at Flock House for initial farmtraining. During last year 84 sons of New Zealand returned soldiersjhad been received at Flock House and of these 52 had completed their training and been placed in permanent employment on farms and stations, leaving 32 still in the process of training. No boys had -been received during the last three months, but it is understood that a considerable number of applications from suitable youths are in the hands of the patriotic and returned soldiers' associations, and it is confidently expected that the number in residence at Flock House will quickly rise to the 60 that can be accommodated. Patriotic and returned soldiers' associations should promptly send in all applications to the Flock House trustees for consideration.
