(From Our Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON, June 16. HOTEL CHANGES HANDS. The Central Private Hotel, lately under the proprietorship of Mr J. M. H. Baird, has been purchased by Mr W; Prentice. RUGBY FOOTBALL. The Palmerston and Shag Point Primary Schools played a seven-a-side match on the Recreation Ground yesterday. Although the local team secured victory by 26 points to 3, the game was much more even than the scores indicate. Macraes will not field a team in the second round of the Eastern Districts Senior Club Competition, as difficulty is being experienced in completing a team each Saturday. Some of the players are expected to join up with Dunback. and this will strengthen that team. There will now be no byes in the competitions, as six teams now remain in the Senior and four in the Junior.
