Two motor tankers, the Pulpit Point and the New Zealand, were also affected. The Pulpit Point, which was to move to Burnham wharf, remained , at Point Howard wharf, where the New Zealand was to berth. The latter, therefore, remained anchored.

The Maui Pomare, which was taken this morning to Evans Bay to go on the slip, had to return to her berth. She will go on the slip as soon as the weather abates.
