NEW ZEALANDER DEFEATED SYDNEY, June 14. (Received June 14, at 10.5 p.xn.) Bob Thornton (11.2) defeated the New Zealander, Fred Parker (11.6), at the Leichhardt Stadium. The contest was stopped in the ninth round.
