DISMISSAL OF OFFICIALS COMPENSATION AWARDED. SYDNEY, June 14. (Received June 14, at 7 p.m.) Damages totalling £14,325 were awarded against the New South Wales Government on account of claims by Edward M'Grath, former deputy industrial commissioner, and five exchairmen of conciliation committees for compensation following their dismissal from office. RELIEF OF DISTRESS GRANT FOR PURCHASE OF CLOTHING. SYDNEY, June 14. (Received June 14, at 7 p.m.) The State Government announced today an immediate grant of £50,000 to provide clothing and boots for people in necessitous circumstances during the winter. MASONIC ORDER ELECTION OF GRAND MASTER, SYDNEY, June 14. (Received June 14, at 7 p.m.) Dr F. A. Maguie has been elected Grand Master of the United Order of Freemasons in New South Wales.
