LOCAL ACTIVITIES | GROUPS TO REPORT The following Works Department groups ■will commence work, at 8 a.m. to-day:— . 301 —The following men of group 301 at Kearney's farm, Malvern street, half a mile above Patinos avenue:—A. J Meggett, W. H. Pryde, E. Robertson, R- Watterson, W. Wilkinson, W. J. Wilson, R. Morris, W, Clark. 301 — The balance of group 301 at Jarvis’s farm, Patmos avenue, one mile above Malvern street (arrive 8.10 a.m.). 302 Leith Valley road, quarter-mile above Patmos avenue. 303 — Signal Hill road, one mile and ahalf above tram terminus (meet at M'Gregor street at 8 a.m.). 305 — Chapman street, at Lynn street. 306 Highcliff road, at Every street. 307 M'Leod’s farm, North Taieri road, below Ashburn Hall. 310 — Sims’s farm, half a mile southwest from St. Clair Golf Club house. 311— Leckhampton court, at Forfar street. _ , 312 W. Reserves Department groups will report for work to-day as follows: 333, 512, 710—At Opoho football ground, at 8 a.m. 909 —At the Stadium, at 12,30 p.m. 511', 704 —At Mornington football ground, at 8 a.m. 383> —At Rest Home, Roslyn, at 8 a.m. REPORT TO LABOUR BUREAU Every man in the following f roups must report at the Labour tureau, on the first floor of Messrs Allen, Son, and M'Clure’s buildings, at the corner of King street and Moray place, to-morrow. Any man failing to do so will be struck off his group, and will not receive further relief unless and until it is again granted to him by _ the Labour Bureau: —-Groups 309, 335, 339. UNEMPLOYED REST ROOM The back room of the Bijou Hall has been granted by the Unemployed Workers Movement for a reading and rest room for the unemployed. It will be open daily from 10 to 5 (starting to-day). All kinds of indoor games will be provided and light refreshments will be given when possible. Any ■ person to provide reading matter or games is invited to band them in to the secretary, and they will be gratefully acknowledged. ENTERTAINING THE UNEMPLOYED The management of the Dunedin Strolling Players invites unemployed men, each of whom may be accompanied by a lady if he wishes, to the full dress rehearsal of the production, "Three Wise Fools,” in the Concert Chamber, this evening at 8 o’clock. Admission will be by production of the unemployed pay book or by special passes obtainable from the Rev. V. G. Bryan King at the Mission House, Moray place, Dunedin.
