OBITUARY
DR EMILE JOSEPH DILLON (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) BARCELONA, June 0. (Received June 10, at 5 p.m.) The death is announced of Dr Emile Joseph Dillon, who was for many years connected with the Daily Telegraph. Dr Dillon acted abroad on many important occasions as correspondent for the Daily Telegraph, London. He was in Spain before and during the SpanishAmerican War, and in Portugal in the days of the revolution, besides journeying at different periods, to represent the Telegraph, to China, America, Crete, and other parts, where happenings of interest and importance were taking place. He was a writer of books on numerous subjects, some of his works being “ Russian Characteristics,” “Maxim Gorky,” “The Eclipse of Russia,” “ Mexico on the Verge,” “The Sceptics of the Old Testament,” “The Policy of the Pope,” “The Home and Age of Avesta.”
