COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS’ ENTERTAINERS y .. ; .i ■ In past years the Commercial Travellers’ Entertainers were well known for their good work on behalf of charity, and a request to them to assist any deserving object always met with a ready response. About two years ago the organisation was disbanded, but at the beginning of tke present winter it was reformed, and now comprises some 20 of Dunedin’s artists, all of whom are well known on the local concert platform. Among the members of the party arc M. de Rose, Messrs R. Duerdon, S. Riggs, R. Dunbar, Harold Bain, George Mearns, Clarence Paine, J. Dick, A. Hendy, C. King, and E. Sagar; Misses Sybil Baker, Eva Judd, Dorothy Sligo, Kathleen Bond, Dorothy Allen and Marjorie M'Dowell. Four concerts have already been given this season, and arrangements have been made for six more before the end of July, including one at Walpiata Sanatorium. The organiser is Mr J. Dick, the hon. secretary Mr A. Cook, and the stage manager Mr G. Mearns.
