DESTRUCTIVE FIRE
WORKS IN GERMANY. BERLIN,' May 27. Considerable damage was done in the Zeiss Ikon (formerly Goerz) optical goods and camera works by a fire which took two hours to get under control. The origin of the outbreak was in the despatch department, among goods ready packed to fill orders, and the flames spread to the raw material stock rooms close byj An iron door separating the departments collapsed owing to the terriflo heat.
