PROSPECTS FOR TO-DAY
(Special to Daily Times.) INVERCARGILL. May 12. Rain has continued, and will make the going heavier still for the concluding day of the Southland Racing Club’s meeting. L. J. Ellis will ride Mount Boa, and if he rides a waiting race Mount Boa will make a better showing than in the Southland Cup. The following may be amongst those fancied: — . Myrosa Handicap.—Mayam, Venite. President’s Handicap.-,—Silver Streak, Palermo, or Tea Party. Steeplechase.—Diamond Jack. Awarua Handicap.—Mount Boa, Jack a Dandy. . Bluff Handicap.—Lochard, Venite, or Great Shot. Winter Oats.—Totolomai, Sailing Home, or Toreador. Silver Paper might run well if started. , When the aceptances were announced for the Steeplechase only Diamond Jack remained in the race, but it was subsequently announced that Nylotis had been left out in error. \
