TO THE EDITOR. Sib,—ln their apparent anxiety to elect him to as many local bodies as possible, the supporters of Mr F. Jones, M.P., seem to have lost sight of the fact that, excepting in June, August, and November, two of the bodies on which he will be expected to sit—the Harbour Board and the Hospital Board—will meet on the same evening—the last Thursday of each month. It would be interesting to learu how, in the circumstances, Mr Jonea proposes to carry out the duties he owes to both boards. The members of either body may, of course, meet his wishes by changing the night of meeting, but after all, why should they? Wa e it through over-eagerness to bring himself into tie public eve that Mr Jones failed to mnko himself 'acquainted with .the true position before accepting nomination 7 —l am, etc., Disgruntled Ratepayer.
