ISSUE OF PILOTS’ LICENSES (Rkk Untikh I’rkss WELLINGTON, April 3. New pilots’ licenses numbering 133 were issued by the civil aviation branch of the Defence Department during the year ended March 31. Of these aero clubs trained 123 pilots, compared with ]IG in the previous 12 months. For the second year in succession the Wellington Aero Club headed the list of the number of pilots trained. The returns are as follows, the 19311932 figures being given in parentheses: —Wellington 18 (23), Auckland 17 (14), Southland 10 (19), Western Federation 15 (18), Hawke’s Bay 14 (7), Otago 12 (11), Marlborough 8 (5), Canterbury 8 (11), New Zealand Airways 6, Manawatn 5, Hokitika 5, Wairarapa 4 (8), miscellaneous 4.
