POSTHUMOUS AWARD
MEDAL FOR A CLERK BRAVERY IN B E CHU AN A LAND. (Bluish Official Wireless.) RUGBY, April 2. The posthumous award of the Medal of the Civil Division of the Order of the British Empire is announced in the case of Reginald Montague Gray, clerk to the magistrate in Ngamiland (Bechuanaland), who, after breaking an empty shotgun on the head of a lion which attacked his comrade, tried to pull the animal away with his hands. Gray died a few days later from shock and injuries.
