PALMERSTON NOTES
(From Ogr Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON, April 3 The last cricket match of the season was played on Saturday at Macraes, the home team defeating Dunbaek by 110 runs to 99 runs. RAINFALL. The rainfall for the 24 hours ended at 9 o’clock this morning was 81 points. The rainfall for the month of March was 58 points, the lowest since 1930, when no rain fell. RUGBY FOOTBALL. At the annual meeting of the Shag Point Football Club the following officebearers were elected:—Patron, Mr D. J. Ross; president, Mr M. Welsh; vicepresidents—the vice-presidents were all re-elected; secretary and treasurer, Mr G. Barber; committee —Messrs I. Mockford, H. Wilde, A. Stitchman, G. Roberts, and A. M'Kean; sole selector, Mr D. «J. Ross; delegates to the sub-union. Messrs D. J. Rose and G. M'lntosh. The captain will be elected immediately prior to the first flag match.
