In the Capetown Motor Rally, with its itinerary of 1500 miles to be covered in less than four days, over good, bad, and indifferent roads, and calling for 16 hours' gruelling per day—Hillman Minx cars scored a phenomenal success, carrying off every possible prize except one (a third prize) and including the Graaf Cup for the highest marks in the Ra11y.—3.4.33.
