WOMAN ASSAULTED
ALLEGED ATTACK WITH BOTTLE A SUSPECT ARRESTED. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND,'October 24. Raymond Leslie Boreham, aged 28, a carpenter, was remanded to-day on a charge of assaulting/a woman so as to cause actual bodily harm. Bail was refused. This charge follows an assault on Mrs Ethel Mortensen, aged 40, the proprietress of a tea shop in Symonds street, late on Saturday afternoon. She alleges that she was struck on the head with a lemonade bottle by a man who was later seen by a neighbour climbing over the fence, and who disappeared. The arrest of the suspect, Boreham, was made yesterday.
