ADVANCED STUDY
NEW JERSEY INSTITUTE PROFESSOR EINSTEIN ON STAFF. NEW YORK, October 10-. (Received Oct. 11, at 9 p.m.) Dr Abraham Flexner, director of the newly projected “ Institute for Advanced Study,” to-day announced that Professor Einstein had accepted a life appointment as head of the school of mathematics. He will be professor of mathematics and theoretical physics. The institute is near Princeton, New Jersey. Professor Einstein will be in attendance from October 1 to April 15 annually, and the remainder of the time he will be on vacation in Germany. His remuneration has not been announced, but it is assumed that it will be high.
