MAGISTRATE’S COURT
Tuesday, October 11. (Before J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) DEFAULT CASES. Judgment was given by default in the following cases: —J. and J. Arthur, Ltd., v. John R. Spratt (Greenfield), claim £7 is, for goods supplied, with costs (£2 2s 6d); Vacuum Oil Company v. J: T. Woolley, claim £SO Os 9d, for goods supplied, with costs (£4 11s 6d); Farra Bros., Ltd., v. L. Nye, claim £1 3s, for work done, with-costs (13s); Commercial Trading Company, Ltd., v. R. Fraser, claim 12s 6d, for goods supplied, with costs (9s); Fraser and Sons v. A. Neiper, claim £1 2s Bd, for goods supplied, with costs (10s); S. A. Moore v. J. C. Rutherford, claim £6, for professional, services, with costs (£1 10s 6d); New Zealand Airways, Ltd., v. A. Dickinson, claim £4 14s 3d, rent of car, with costs (£1 4s 6d). JUDGMENT SUMMONS. Pattison and Ede, Ltd., v. N. Johnson, claim £8 16s 33.—-Defendant was ordered to pay the amount of the claim, with costs (15s), in default nine days’ imprisonment.—After hearing evidence concerning defendant’s financial position the magistrate ordered him to pay 10s per week off the account. Otago Hospital Board v. Charles Boyles, claim £lB, with costs (£1). —Mr J. C. Robertson, in the course of an examination of judgment debtor’s position, said he had been summoned in November last, when an order was refused. Counsel showed the improvement in debtor’s financial position, and the magistrate said that it was obvious that he was now better situated than in November last. An order would be made'requiring him to pay the amount at the rate of 10s per week.
