REORGANISATION OF DEPARTMENTS COMMISSION’S RECOMMENDATIONS (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, October 11. No finality has been reached by Cabinet in regard to the National Expenditure Commission’s recommendations for the reorganisation of the Lands Department and the Public Works Department. So comprehensive and far-reaching are the proposals that the Government has taken steps to secure departmental reports and other expressions of opinion on the practicability of the proposals. It is said to be unlikely that legislation affecting either of the departments will be promoted this session.
