MR GANDHI
AGITATION FOR RELEASE
GOVERNMENT’S STIPULATION,
DELHI, October 10. (Received October 10, at 11 p.m.)
It is authoritatively learned that Mr Gandhi will not be released to participate in the negotiations to reach a HinduMoslem agreement, though facilities may be given to him to see selected leaders. There has been considerable agitation to secure Mr Gandhi’s release for this purpose, but the Government is resolved that there can be no question of releasing any of the Congress leaders till the Congress' calls off the civil disobedience campaign.
