TIN HARE INQUIRY
WITNESS TO BE PROSECUTED A CHARGE OP PERJURY. SYDNEY, August 26. (Received August 26, at 11 p.m.) At the mechanical hare inquiry to-day the royal commissioner intimated that he would order the prosecution for perjury of John Cruickshank, a witness who declared that he had not called at the Chief Secretary’s Department on March 3 for a permit for greyhound racing at Orange, despite the fact that departmental officials positively identified him.
