SALE OP LAND IN SYDNEY. BIG PRICE FOR VACANT BLOCK. SYDNEY, August 26. (Received August 26, at 11 p-ni.) A vacant block of land in the centre of the city of Sydney was sold to-day at the rate of £ISOO per foot. This is the largest transaction of its kind for nearly two years. The price is regarded as satisfactory, marking the turn of th. tide for better times. The total price was £171,000.
