GREAT BOWLING FEAT

(From Our Own Correspondent.) " LONDON,, July 15. The finest bowling performance in the history of cricket (writes Mr A. E. R. Gilligan in the News-Chronicle) was performed by Hedley Verity, the 27-year-old Yorkshire left-arm bowler, in the match bewteen Yorkshire and Nbtts, at Leeds. He took 10 wickets for 10 runs in. 19.4 overs, 16 of ’tfhich were maidens. He also did the hat-trick. This is a world’s record. This is the second time in his career that Verity has taken all 10 wickets, the previous occasion being against Warwickshire in May, 1932, when his analysis read 10 to 36. v Following heavy rain overnight, the sun came out and shone strongly, and then Verity with his high delivery and wonderful spin carried all before him.
