MR A. C. PROCTER HONOURED A large number of past and present members of the Zingari-Riehmond Football Club gathered in the Montecillo pavilion this week to offer their congratulations to Mr A, C. Procter, who has been selected for the All Black Rugby team to tour Australia. The president of the club (Mr T. Davidson, G, Stewart, Burt, A. H. Cameron (Otago Rugby Football Union), A. Munro, R. Caradus, W. Hobbs, W. Esquilant, G. Fleury, A. Patterson, R. C. Torrance (Referees' Association), B. Cameron extended the best wishes of the Carisbrook, Cricket Club, of which Mr Procter is a member of the first eleven. Cheers and musical honours were heartily given, after which Mr Procter thanked the members for the honour conferred upon him, and said that he would do his best to fulfil their'expectations of him. Cheers were also accorded Mr Percy Procter, who suitably replied. A pleasing feature of the function was the large attendance of old players and members who joined forces with the present players to pay tribute to their club mate. Mr A. C. Procter is the third All Black selected from the Ziiigavi-Richmond Club, the previous members being Mr “ Sandy ” Patterson and the late Mr Baird, who paid the supremo sacrifice in the Great War.
