“COME TO DUNEDIN” WEEK

It is some years since a tug-of-war competition of any magnitude was held in Dunedin, but it will be remembered that these tests of strength and skill always arouse considerable interest, not only amongst the competitors, but also amongst the public. The organisers of “ Come to Dunedin ” Week have received such strong support in connection with the tug-of-war which they have arranged for May 27 and 28 that there is every probability that over 50 teams w;ill take part. These have been divided into two sections, heavy-weight and light-weight, and, in view of the large number of entries received for the former section, it has now been decided to add a consolation pull for teams eliminated in the first round. j
