RETURNED SOLDIERS’ CHOIR
The programme to be presented in the Town Hall next Wednesday night by the Dunedin Returned Soldiers' Choir covers a wide range of music. The numbers will include “To the Sons of Art,” “ Softly, Softly Over the Sea,” “ Long Day Closes, _ “Sylvia.” “The Wanderers’ Night Song, and “The Village Blacksmith.” Others will bo “ 'The Tars’ Song,” a spirited miniber, and that great favourite, * The Anvil Chorus.” from “II TTovatore.” “ Come to the Fair ” will be included as a choral song. Mr Maitland M'Cutcheon, the popular violinist, has chosen “Valse Triste," bv Sibelius, and Schubert’s “ Ballet Musik.” Miss Stentiford’s charming mezzo will be heard for the first time by R. A. patrons. The choir soloists will be Messrs George Crawford, Walter Strang, Stan Jeffs, and a quartet will be composed of Messrs D. Lyons, T. Harvey, S. R. Collins, and T. D. White, Mr John T. Leech will control.
