GENERAL EXPECTATION A SYMPATHY VERDICT. HONOLULU, April 21. The Eortescue case is to be continued on Saturday to enable the alienists called by the prosecution .to study the case. There is a prospect of the case going before the jury on Wednesday. The effect of Mrs Massie’s outburst on Wodnesday is doubtful, but it is generally thought to be sympathetic. A sympathy verdict is generally expected, though the possible social consequences of acquittal are admittedly unfortunate.
