DEATH AT A BEDSIDE

While feeling the, pulse of an 86-year-old patient, Dr Robert James Arthur, aged 59, of Oldham, Lancashire, collapsed and died. & The patient, Mrs Holt, who'was suffering from bronchitis, was overcome by shock, but her condition was not seriously affected. The doctor, it is stated, sat down and asked Mrs Holt how she felt. He took her hand to feel her pulse, but then fell back in his chair. He had been in practice in the district for about 20 years, and had suffered from bronchial trouble. He would never use a motor car, doing all his visiting on foot.
