LAND OF MUSEUMS
Bavaria has always been famed for its cultural and art treasures, and how deserved this reputation is has now been demonstrated by a census of museums made by the State bureau of statistics. The enumeration discloses the astonishing fact that Bavaria, with a population of but 7,500,000, possesses 24 museums —about one for every 30,000 inhabitants. It feels that it can justly claim to be the land of museums.
