LAWYER WOUNDED BY WOMAN. The wife of an engineer in Rostock, Mecklenburg, Germany, recently showed her sympathy with her husband’s interests by attempting in court to shoot a lawyer who was bringing a Case against him. After an excited hearing, in the courss of which the engineer is stated to havo made a number of personal observations regarding his opponent, the lawyer entered the witness box. He bad just begun his evidence when a shot rang out and ha collapsed with a bullet wound in bis neck. The engineer's wife was immediately disarmed and carried off to prison. The lawyer fortunately was not seriously hurt, and resumed work later in the' day.
