MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING
OTAGO ASSOCIATION. To mark the opening of the season the Otago Miniature Rifle Association ran a handicap match on Monday night. The shoot was open to all affiliated clubs, and the shooting of the 71 members who competed was good considering that it was the beginning of the season, although it was noted that several of the scratch men had not yet struck form. Fourteen competitors scored the possible (70) with their handicap, and these shot in the semi-final, only tylisa Melville, Mrs Johnston, W. Wilson and A. Thompson qualifying for the shot to decide the winner. Of these A. Thompson proved the winner. Miss Melville was second, Mrs Johnston third and W. Wilson fourth. The leading scores were as follow: —
