TAIERI SCHOOL SPORTS

The ninth annual athletic meeting of the Taieri School Sports’ Sub-association was held on Saturday, March 12, when children from the Maungatua, Henley, Momona, Berwick, Otokia, and AHanton Schools took part in a very _ successful gathering. The sub-association is indebted to the officials of the parent body (the Otago Primary Schools’ Sports Association), Messrs Hanna (president). Briggs, Rush, Ritchie, Forsyth, Woods, Waddell, and Bradstock, for the assistance which they gave in conducting the meeting. The sports ground was in very good order, and the thanks of the sub-association are due to the Momona School Committee (Messrs M'Donald, Wheeler, M'Donald, sen., Monaghan, and G. Stevenson) for their praiseworthy efforts, and also to Mr Monaghan for the use of the grounds. Points were won by the three leading schools as follows: —Henley 320, Maungatua 242, Allauton 191.
