ONE MAN ONE JOB
TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, —People are asking if it is a fact that a man with one child, a caretaker of a city church, the pastor of which has shown himself interested in the condition of the local unemployed, has, in addition, other full-time employment. If so, Are the church deacons aware of this, and is there no unemployed person (possibly connected with the church) who would be glad to get the position of caretaker? If what is said is correct —as my information leads me to believe—it reveals a peculiar state of affairs. —I am, etc., Pro Bono Publico. Dunedin, March 17.
