FRENCH TARIFF
SURTAX ON BRITISH COAL WITHDRAWN FROM TO-DAY. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, February 23. (Received Feb. 24, at 5.5 p.m.) The President of the Board of Trade (Mr Walter Runciman) informed the House of Commons that a decree was issued in Paris this morning whereby the 15 per cent, surtax on British coal would be withdrawn as from Thursday.
