BURMA’S CONSTITUTION
REPORT OF CONFERENCE THE DEBATE DEFERRED. (British Official Wireless.) 'RUGBY, February 23.. Asked in the House of Commons whether the House would have an opportunity in the present session to discuss the report of the Burma Round Table Conference and the Government’s declaration of policy on the constitutional advance in Burma, Mr Baldwin said the question was one of great importance, both to Burma and to the Empire as a whole, and he agreed that it ought to come before Parliament, but it would be preferable to defer the House of Commons debate until the people of Burma had accorded their decision on the question of separation from India, because on that depended the policy of the Government.
