SUNDAY SERVICES
The preacher at Knox Church to-mor-row at both services will be the Rev. Principal Dickie, D.D., and at the evening service Mrs R. J. M'Laren will render a solo. At First Church to-morrow the Rev. W. Allen Stevely’s subjects will be, in the morning, “ The Promises of God,” and in the evening “ The Gates of the City.” At the evening service Mr N. F. Sansom, of Invel’cargill, will sing “Lord God of Abraham ” from Mendelssohn’s " Elijah.” Dr Galway will be at the organ. “ Travel Thoughts in Many Towns” will be the Rev. W. H. Greenslade’s topic at the St. Clair Methodist Church at 0.30 p.m. to-morrow. “The Fate of an Unrecorded Name” will be the subject taken by Mr A. Loudon at York Place Hall to-morrow evening. At the United Congregational Church Mr J. Arthur Wilkinson will preach in the morning and Mr A. E. Stevens in the evening. The Rev. H. L. Blaraires’s morning subject at Cargill Road Methodist Church will be “ A Great Emancipator.” At 6.30 he will answer the question. “ What Is Courage? ” At the St. Kilda Methodist Church the Rev. Percy Paris will preach in the morning on “ ChrisPs Parable of the Salt, ’ and in the evening on “ The Ambition of Two Brothers.” Sunday evening’s service at the Hanover Street Baptist Church will be of special interest to parents, and will be broadcast from 4YA. The choir will render special music, and Mr Eric Macfarlane will be the soloist.
First Church of Christ Scientist Dunedin'brauch of the Mother Church, Boston, will hold services in Allbell Chambers, Stuart street, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. tomorrow. The subject will be “Life.” Combined services between Moray Place Congregational and Trinity Methodist Churches will be hold in the latter church to-morrow. The Rev. H. E.- Bell house will be the preacher at both services, taking for his morning subject “ Christ’s Doctrine of Excess,” and in the evening “The Law of Wanting and Getting.’ Miss Agnes Guy will render a solo at (he latter service. Treasurer Stanton will be the speaker at the Salvation Army morning service. Mrs Brill and the Senior Bible Class will have charge of the afternoon service. Sergeant-major Brown will give the address in the evening at 7 o’clock.
