SHIPS FOR THE SOVIET
ORDER PLACED IN SPAIN PAYMENT IN PETROL. MADRID, January 14. (Received Jan. 14, at 8 p.m.) Overcoming the problem of payment by adopting the system of barter, the Russian Soviet has ordered 50 tank steamers to be built at Cartagena shipyards. The cost will be defrayed wiw Soviet petrol.
