TRADE AGREEMENT
NEW ZEALAND AND CANADA THE HONOLULU DISCUSSIONS. HONOLULU, December 28. (Received Dec, 29, at 5.5 p.m.) The Canadian and New Zealand delegations, behind closed doors, began formal sessions, which one delegate said would last one week, and perhaps longer. After informal week end conversations between Mr H. H. Stevens and Mr W. Downie Stewart both reiterated that no information could be given here, but they explained that the purpose of the discussions was the imposition of preferential rates rather than the abolition of tariffs.
