WEATHER IN BRITAIN

WARM DURING HOLIDAYS (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, December 28. (Received Dec. 29, at 5.5 p.m.) Remarkably warm weather was the chief feature of the Christmas holiday, the parks and commons being thronged with people. Road traffic was heavy on Saturday and Sunday, and promenades at the seaside resorts presented a gay appearance. The railways were exceptionally busy on Christinas Eve, Saturday and Sunday. The warm weather is unlikely to continue. Although snow has not yet been forecast for England it fell heavily in parts of Scotland to-day, and at several highland centres preparations are in train for winter sports.
