Lazzarini) learned his fate to-day, when the final distribution of preference votes for the Werriwa seat enabled Mr VV. 11. M'Nicol (Country Party candidate) to win by 1557 votes. Mr Lazzarini has represented this constituency for many years. He was an ardent supporter of the Lang Plan , and with Mr Beasley played a prominent part in securing the downfall of the Scullin Government. r , The latest report from the scrutineer indicates that Mr Garden, retains a slight lead in the contest for the Cook seat.
