ANOTHER SEAT DECIDED MR LAZZARIN! DEFEATED (United Press Association.) / (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, December 28. (Received Dec. 28, at' 10 p.m;) Another Lang Plan candidate (Mr H. P. Lazzarini) learned his fate to-day, when the final distribution of preference votes for the Werriwa seat enabled Mr VV. 11. M'Nicol (Country Party candidate) to win by 1557 votes. Mr Lazzarini has represented this constituency for many years. He was an ardent supporter of the Lang Plan , and with Mr Beasley played a prominent part in securing the downfall of the Scullin Government. r , The latest report from the scrutineer indicates that Mr Garden, retains a slight lead in the contest for the Cook seat. THE REID SEAT. WON BY LANG PLAN CANDIDATE. - SYDNEY, December 28.-. (Received Dec. 29, at 2 a..m.) The ! distribution of preferences for the Reid seat was completed to-night, and the Lang PJan candidate, Mr J. H. Gander, won by 7457 from the AntiLabourite, Mr R. Uebel. j It -is understood that Mr Gander, who is a billiard marker, expressed his willingness during the election campaign to resign the moment that Mr Lang desired to enter Federal politics, which is believed to be imminent.
