CHRISTCHURCH, July 13.
The Christchurch Tramway Board’s receipts for the financial year just closed totalled £254,760 and the operating expenses £175,-616. After deducting interest, sinking fund, renewal charges, and losses on buses, there remained a surplus of £4387. The receipts include £27,272 derived from advertising and the sale of current to the Public Works Department.
