DISPUTE WITH MANAGEMENT MEN LOSE TWO DAYS’ WORK. (Pee United Press Association i AUCKLAND, June 18. Work at the Glen Afton mine, near Huntly, was stopped to-day, and between 600 and 700 men have been deprived of work for two days through the miners taking exception to two boys being ordered to report to the manager for failing to work full time. The men stated that the two boys, who were working on the surface became wet through on Wednesday when attending to screens and went home before their allotted time. On returning to work they were told to report to the manager. The men objected to the boys being reprimanded, and decided not to work' that day as a protest. The management thereupon declared the mine closed until Monday.
