POLAR CRUISE OF FIVE DAYS FIRST HOP TO LENINGRAD. BERLIN, June 17. Dr Eckener announces that the delay caused by the breakdown of Sir Hubert Wilkins’s submarine will prevent the proposed meeting at a rendezvous in the Polar regions. The Zeppelin will start on June 20, the first hop being to Leningrad. From there she will make a Polar cruise of five days. Dr Eckener will not attempt to reach the Pole. Upon her return the Zeppelin will make a non-stop flight to Brazil.
