MYSTERIOUS GIFT TO KING LONDON, June 12. Buckingham Palace is attempting to solve the mystery of Australian apples sent by air mail. There is nothing to indicate the sender beyond the mark “ Brisbane.” Officials making inquiries at Agencies General at Australia House before informing the King, said that gifts were never submitted to his Majesty, until the sender was known. If the Government had forwarded the fruit the King would be delighted to accept, they said.
