EARTHQUAKE IN JAPAN
OSAKA AND TOKIO SHAKEN PEOPLE RUSH INTO STREETS. TOKIO, June 17. A sharp but brief earthquake was felt at 9 o’clock to-night, driving the people into the streets. Reports from Osaka are of a similar nature. The damage is not known. NO LOSS OF LIFE. TOKIO, June 18. (Received June 18, at 10 p.m.) According to present advices no lives were lost in the recent earthquake and there was very little material damage.
