MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE ; MEETS ' The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Otago Football Association was held last night in the Y.M.C.A., Mr J. Simpson being in the chair. PETER DAWSON CUP CHALLENGE. The secretary of the New Zealand Council acknowledged receipt of Otago’s challenge for the Peter Dawson Cup, and advised that at the presept time a match for the trophy was under way, as Buffer would be playing the holders, Westland, on June 20. The winners of that game would be advised of Otago’s challenge, and the suggestion that the game be played early in July had been noted. —Received. FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION TROPHY. It was decided to enter a challenge for the Football Association trophy, at present held by Wellington. GENERAL. Mr F. G. Smith forwarded an explanation regarding his non-appearance as referee in the Seacliff-Port Chalmers game played on June 6 at Seacliff. —This was accepted, and the se<sretary was instructed to get in touch in future with the town team due to travel to Seacliff. and arrange for the referee’s transport.
